Prestressed concrete

Prestressed concrete is a type of concrete that have prestressed steel and there is two types.
1- post tension :
In this type the concrete is cast then tension the steel then cut .
 2- pre-tension :
In this type the steel is tensioned then the concrete is cast then cut the steel .

The basic concept of this type is to transform the section frome tension and compression to only compression section and that happend when the steel is cut the in steel will be compression inte section so it will remove tension force then no cracks will happen .

Features of prestressed concrete :
Long spans
Less cracks
Less dimensions
The cost is more than normal concrete .
